DrySee Success Stories
My son began using DrySee® bandages 24 hours after he had surgery earlier this year. His favorite part about the bandage was that once it was on there, he never had to worry about it because it did its job. The last bandage he used, we left it on for three days, and in that three day period, he swam twice and took two showers and it never leaked. Of course if it did get wet, I would’ve known to change it! I knew it had not leaked because the outer line on the bandage was not dark- and when I took it off, it was as dry as can be apart from where the antibacterial ointment was. From a medical standpoint, I know that wounds can become infected very easily if they are wet. Because of that, the bandage provided me with a peace of mind knowing if I needed to switch the bandage out.
In a time when hospitals are moving patients to home care soon after surgery, the responsibility for wound care falls on the patient’s loved ones. Recently, following my wife’s knee surgery, I discovered DrySee® wound protection. Not only were the dressings safe and easy to use, but also water resistant and moisture indicating. What a God send! My wife was able to shower immediately, no plastic wraps or garbage bags to protect the wound area like so many of us have had to endure. Surgery is never easy, but the DrySee line of bandages made the process so much easier. Thank you DrySee!
As a Podiatrist, I see a variety of wounds. The most common question after surgery or a wound check is, “when can I shower?” For the first time, I can say, “today”! Using DrySee has allowed me to apply a dressing on the first post-operative visit to cover the sutures and keep the surgical incision clean, dry and intact. No more asking the patient to use a cast cover in the shower or slide into the bathtub with crutches, which can be very difficult. DrySee is a great addition to the post-operative and wound care dressings I use on a daily basis. It is truly next generation in the dressing world.

I had hernia surgery last year, used these bandages, and they worked really great. They removed 3 hernias, and after a week or so, I physically felt fine, but there was still a lot of drainage coming from the wound sites. I tried a whole lot of things following surgery–there was a waterproof tape that I used that worked great, but it tore up my skin when changing. The DrySee® bandage kept a great seal and didn’t tear up my skin like the tape did. I was nervous about wearing a white shirt and winding up with blood and drainage on it, so I used the DrySee bandages to make sure that everything was sealed up and not risk leaking when I knew I would be out for a few hours. When I showered with it, the seal held up just fine!
