What is DrySee?
A Waterproof Bandage with Built-in Liquid Intrusion Alert
The initial wound treatment and bandaging technique used after surgery can be critical to a patient’s recovery. Our waterproof surgical bandage reduces the likelihood of delays in the healing process as well as unnecessary healthcare expenses by clearly alerting patients to any problems with the bandage. Whether liquid intrusion from the outside or inside the wound area, DrySee provides simple, visual verification of the condition of your waterproof bandages for stitches.
The DrySee Difference
The current practice in bandage evaluation involves disruptive, and often painful, dressing removal. DrySee bandages provide a unique visual cue that the wound area is secure and protected, reducing the need for excessive dressing changes.
With DrySee waterproof liquid bandage, you can take the guess work out of wound care!
Waterproof Liquid Bandages You Can Rely On
When using regular bandages it’s important to change the bandage every day or even sooner. This is to make sure the wound stays clean and dry. Some wounds need to be treated with ointment and kept covered to keep them moist to reduce scarring and to help the healing process.
With DrySee’s waterproof liquid bandages, you don’t need to go through the process of removing bandages each day to ensure your wound is safe and secure because you can determine if your bandage has been compromised with a simple glance. Unlike standard over-the-counter bandages, our large waterproof bandages provide a visual cue that your wound is clean and protected.
How Do Visual Cues Work?
DrySee’s large waterproof bandages consist of gauze and a secure, breathable, waterproof covering. This covering is what protects your wound. Surrounding the gauze that covers your wound is a barrier of liquid-indicating gauze.
If water or other liquids make their way into the bandage, the liquid-indicating gauze along the perimeter of the bandage will turn a dark, bluish color. This alerts patients and healthcare professionals that the site of the wound has been compromised and needs to be inspected, cleaned, and rebandaged.
The visual cues on our waterproof liquid bandages help to reduce the number of unnecessary bandage changes. This saves you time, energy, and the discomfort of removing the bandage from your skin frequently.
Why Choose DrySee?
It’s important to keep your wound covered, clean, and dry during the healing process because water and foreign liquids can introduce bacteria to your wound and cause it to become infected. Standard bandages can only do so much and can’t give you a visual cue of when the bandage has been compromised.
With DrySee’s waterproof liquid bandages, you can go about your day without worrying about your bandage slipping off or your wound becoming exposed to water, sweat, or dirt. Our large waterproof bandages will keep your wound secure by indicating when your wound has been compromised and needs to be cleaned.
